Danny Sarch is one of the legendary leaders of the much coveted Pinnacle Society where he recently served as their President for the last four years and was recently bestowed with their honorary lifetime member award. It doesn't get better than that and Danny was only the fifth person in their history to have achieved that level of success. When you meet Danny for the first time it's as if you've known him a lifetime. His demeanor is friendly, in a humble way, and his wit makes him fun to be around for a good laugh. In this interview, Danny talks about how he copes with this economy and the changes that he would like to see implemented in this industry in the near future. Most compelling is his distinction of how recruiters should present themselves in the wake of this mega-candidate marketplace. Why would a corporation want to hire a recruiter when the tables seem to be turned in their favor. Listen on... you'll be happy you did.

Good stuff...I like the real world points that are stated. Working twice as hard to make half as much money.... Good story about career growth. Main point is networking and group discussion keeps you fresh and uplifted...

The market ebbs and flows but keeping up with the basics and doing every peace each day with planning you stay sharp. You also have to be willing to be very flexible and be able to recruit where the market has business.

I can especially relate to the hot dog story. My Grandfather, an inspirational force in my life, built a major business that he began by selling hot dogs to refinery workers during depressed economic times following WWII. His optimism and tenacity to pursue opportunities in spite of a challenging economic environment enabled him to persevere when many others failed...perhaps the vendor in the story isn't just a metaphor. Attitude and ability to deliver value to clients is what will differentiate the winners and losers in this market. Danny did a great job reminding us of these important points.

Good Interview. Recruiting is not rocket science. I believe in working smart and listening to my clients not CNN, FOX News or any of the other talking heads when it comes to my business. All of the previous comments by John Slusser, Anne Rell, S.Davis, and John Nilon are 100% right on. Major

I have heard of other versions of the hot dog story but it was good hear it again, a great reminder. Thanks. I agree with what you said about being not only to find candidates, I would add that we also add value in terms terms of how we help the client make the best hire, how they take candidates through a process, compare etc. We shouldn't forget that this is also a service we add to the process.

Danny made a excellent point that we as recruiters must convince our clients that we provide a service that goes beyond just locating talented candidates but also being able to deliver them. Thanks again.
