building new relationships, satiating the recruiting passion of connecting the right people with the right company, the thrill of the deal, the fees. whats not to love?

Getting a broader range of the applicant pool, making connections and keeping the client satisfied!

If splits are set up so both recruiters benefit equally, then 2 heads are always better than 1, 5 heads better than 2, etc. It expands everyone's network and sphere of influence.

You mean splits between agencies? Not sure I understand the question.

I love when they actually close! There is a lot of talk and activity out there, but it is rare to find a good solid split opp that makes it to closure. So when it actually does happen, it is extremely gratifying!

The advantage of splits is that 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing. Splits can play to your strengths. Some of us are naturally better at getting job orders while others are better at candidate sourcing. It should be a win for everyone - the two recruiters, the candidate, and the client.

It sounds logical to me that 50% of something is much better than 100% of nothing.

We love making splits becasue it allows you to focus more on your individual strengths, whether that is from the client or the candidate side. You can cover alot more ground.

Keeping my clients moving forward to meet thier goals through networking is what I love about making splits. On the other hand, being able to help a candidate a bit outside my niche or geographic area find a great new start is just as satisfying and much less work for me!
